It is time to plan this years garden

When deciding where to put your garden, available sunlight and soil quality are important

If it is a new garden fall tilling will make it much eaiser in the spring

Have your soil PH checked to determine if lime is necessary

Till an all purpose fertilizer into the soil just before planting

If possible plan your garden so that you may plant it in stages - crop rotation from year to year is very important as well

Onions, Potatoes, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Early Cabbage can be planted in late April or all through May

Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplant, Basil, Cukes, Melons, Squash, Pumpkins, Beans etc. need to be planted when the danger of frost is past
-
Many items may be planted in July and August - Beans, Broccoli, Cauliflower, lettuce, Brussel Sprouts, onions for scallions, radish etc.
